Rinald Rolle developed an interest in birds, began 20 years ago while employed as a telephone technician. His outdoor tasks gave him the opportunity to develop and appreciate the diversity of bird life as many birds of different sizes, colors and other characteristics were often sighted on the overhead telephone lines or in trees along the roadside. The Gray King Bird, a summer migrant and the endemic Bahama Mockingbird dueling over territory are a common sight on Andros. behavior at times.

Rinald is a member of the Bahamas National Trust and an ambassador for the environment who advocates for the preservation of birds and their habitats.
